ShipMzansi is a product of Bodmerch cc, a South African close corporation (“Bodmerch”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service govern your access to the ShipMzansi website and your use of the ShipMzansi plugin and licence. By purchasing, downloading, installing or activating ShipMzansi, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the product.
1. What ShipMzansi Is
ShipMzansi is a WordPress/WooCommerce plugin that connects your store to South African courier services — currently Courier Guy, Fastway and PUDO lockers — so your customers see accurate local shipping rates and locker options at checkout.
ShipMzansi is software, not a courier. We don’t collect parcels, deliver anything, or set courier rates. Those services are provided directly by the courier companies under your own account with them. ShipMzansi’s job is to make that connection work properly inside WooCommerce.
2. Licence Grant
When you buy a ShipMzansi licence, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the plugin on the number of sites stated on your licence tier (e.g. one site for a Single Site licence), for as long as your licence remains active. You don’t own the software — you own a licence to use it.
An active licence gets you plugin updates, new courier integrations as they’re added, and email support. A lapsed or cancelled licence stops receiving updates and support, though the plugin will generally keep working with whatever version was last installed.
3. Billing & Renewals
ShipMzansi licences are billed annually. Unless you cancel before the renewal date, your licence renews automatically at the then-current price, and we’ll email you ahead of time so there are no surprises. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from your account or by emailing us — your licence stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise. We may change pricing for future renewal periods, with reasonable notice beforehand.
4. Acceptable Use
Your licence is for your own use on your own store(s). Please don’t:
- resell, sublicense or share your licence key with anyone else;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or strip licensing checks out of the plugin;
- use the plugin in a way that overloads or abuses our servers, or the courier APIs it connects to; or
- misrepresent ShipMzansi as your own product.
We reserve the right to deactivate a licence key that’s being used in breach of these terms.
5. Support
Active licence holders get email support at shipmzansi@bodmerch.com. We aim to respond within one to two business days. Support covers helping you get ShipMzansi working correctly — it doesn’t extend to general WordPress, hosting, or theme troubleshooting unrelated to the plugin.
6. Third-Party Courier Services
ShipMzansi relies on the APIs of Courier Guy (ShipLogic), Fastway and PUDO to fetch rates and locker information. We don’t control those services, and we can’t guarantee their uptime, rate accuracy, or delivery performance. If a courier’s API is down, changes its rates, or has a service issue, that’s between you and the courier — ShipMzansi will reflect whatever those services return as accurately as it can, but isn’t responsible for their content or availability.
You’re responsible for keeping your own courier accounts in good standing — API keys, account credit, and your agreement with each courier are yours to manage.
7. Intellectual Property
ShipMzansi — the code, name, branding and documentation — is owned by Bodmerch cc. Your licence gives you the right to use it; it doesn’t transfer ownership or any intellectual property rights to you.
8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
ShipMzansi is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don’t warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we’re not liable for lost sales, lost parcels, courier delays, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the plugin. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to ShipMzansi is limited to the licence fee you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t lawfully be limited under South African law.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate a licence that breaches these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. You may stop using ShipMzansi and cancel your licence at any time.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time as the product and the law evolve. We’ll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of ShipMzansi after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
